The Construction Monitor is a copyrighted publication pursuant to Title 17, United States Code, giving it the exclusive right to make copies, to prepare derivative works, to sell or distribute copies, and to display the work publicly. Anyone else wishing to use the work in these ways must have the express written permission of the Construction Monitor or its agents. As of March 1, 1989, all United States Copyrights became subject to the International Berne Convention, which establishes the statutory damages and attorney fees to be paid for copyright violations. Accordingly, damages range between $20,000 for ordinary infringement to a maximum of$ 100,000 for willful infringement. Such damages are assessed on a per incident or unit of infringement basis.
